There comes a time when an Interent marketer has to rely on some help to get things done that they need done to move their online business to the next level. All of the big gurus have and probably still do it. It is called outsourcing. Outsourcing is where you hire outside help to provide content, website development or just plain old helping out around the site, like answering e-mail and comments, running contests etc.
When you are building your Internet business at first you can handle all of the posts and the few emails and comments that you may get. But as your site grows and you get more traffic, you will often need to get help with whatever you need to free up some time. There are some great outsorcing websites that bring these helpers to you and are listed below.
These sites are very reliable and easy to use. The trick is to know what you are asking for or should I say know EXACTLY what you are looking for and that you are very descriptive about what you want. If you have a flower website, don’t ask for 5 articles about flowers, ask for 5 articles, 300-500 words in length, that describe the relationship of flowers to various holidays and include any keywords that you may want to concentrate on.
What I like to do when using these services is to browse through some of the project listings relating to my topic, and then select a handful of professional written descriptions that cover different criteria, e.g. “English must be your native language” or “if selected, this may lead to more continued business, ect.” Then input these different project criteria into your own project. By doing so, you will end up with a nice project description with good criteria that you might not have thought of on your own.
The old adage of “you get what you pay for” certainly applies to this topic. Don’t always go for the cheapest bid without checking references and samples of their work. You will be glad you did. Also, pay attention to the size of the company you are working for. While a company with many employees will probably give you what you want and deliver your project on time, a company of one employee may be able to give you more one on one service that you may need later on.
One tip I perfrom with Elance is to use the search feature and look for providers who have a top rating of 90 or better and are either in the U.S., Canada, or U.K. This weeds out a lot of sub-standard providers and zero’s in on providers with my native language. I have found there is too much of a language barrier with non-English speaking providers, and I have not had much luck with them completeing projects that read well and flow with good english.
I hope that this post will help you as you build your Interent business and start to make money online. Remember to check my sidebar for great reference material to help you along the way.
