Solid Keywords and Link Descriptions
Is it really possible to acquire a top search engine ranking? The answer to this is yes and there is a legitimate process to acquiring high ranks. Rankings in search engines will be based upon the types of keywords or link names used when optimizing a website or blog.  This is important because it is critical to select a workable keyword/link title to use. In all honesty, there will be some keywords/links that will not be viable for a search engine campaign. That is why it is important to realize there are good and bad keyword/link choices.

For example, if you started a blog on movie reviews, using the keywords “movie reviews” may not be the best choice. Yes, people do search type in “movie reviews” into search engines all the time, but optimizing a blog with links entitled “movie reviews” won’t be all that helpful. This is because there are THOUSANDS of movie review sites on the internet. So, trying to optimize a blog (or website) with the words “movie reviews” would limit the blog’s ability to rise in the rankings. Well, it would limit the ability to rise based on the use of “movie reviews”. It can, however, move upwards if it selects a different keyword or link title.

This does not mean you use obscure words or phrases.  That simply wouldn’t help because no one types obscure words into the search engines.  However, simply being more descriptive in your use of words and phrases will go a long way. For example, while “movie reviews” may be overused, “family friendly movie reviews” or “science-fiction movie reviews” would be a much wiser choice. That is because these are search terms people but are not overused like generic terms. With descriptive keyword/link terms, it is possible to move to the top search engine ranking position and receive significant traffic.

The moral here is this: pick your keyword wisely and you can achieve a top search engine ranking. Solid keywords and link descriptions will go a long way towards moving up the search engine rankings. So why not use them?

The Reality Of A Top Search Engine Ranking

Selecting Proper Keyword-Link Title Is Critical
Is it really possible to acquire a top search engine ranking? The answer to this is yes and there is a legitimate process to acquiring high ranks. Rankings in search engines will be based upon the types of keywords or link names used when optimizing a website or blog.  This is important because it is critical to select a workable keyword/link title to use. In all honesty, there will be some keywords/links that will not be viable for a search engine campaign. That is why it is important to realize there are good and bad keyword/link choices.

Don’t Try And Compete With Popular Keywords
For example, if you started a blog on movie reviews, using the keywords “movie reviews” may not be the best choice. Yes, people do search type in “movie reviews” into search engines all the time, but optimizing a blog with links entitled “movie reviews” won’t be all that helpful. Use More Descriptive Keywords
Until next time, great success in all you do!

My Internet Business Blog Rankings Dramatically Increased, Want To Know How?

Saturday, March 8th, 2008

Hi All,

I just thought I would fill you in on my latest internet business blog stats.  I’m doing this in order to provide you with this information for your own benefit so you can implement it in your own internet business if your needing some help.

Over the last few days my blog rankings in Google have jumped up a respective 2.5 pages for my main keyword, and my Alexa rankings have dropped through the floor 48,000!(the lower the better with Alexa).

Is it something magical I did?  No, not at all.  In a general sense,  everything I did to attain these results have come from the methods I teach and the products I sell.  Naturally, there is a little more to it than that.  There are those extra little insider secrets or tweaks that are applied, but in an overall general picture everything I did to attain the aforementioned success can be found in my blog posts or in the products and resources listed in the sidebar over there on the right hand side of this page.

Some of the top suggestions or advice I can to help your success is…  if you don’t have a blog, Blogging For Profit And Fun -Part One, and 12 Free Ways To Drive Traffic - Part Two will show you how to get set up correctly.

If you don’t submit articles, Article Pro Software is an awesome tool to use for article submissions.  It is completely different than submitting to the major article directories and is very effective.  Read this story from one it’s users.

The Ezine Publisher List is an “external list” you can use with Article Pro Software to add even more publishers to your submissions.

Blog Carnival submissions are another great way to drive traffic.  If your not familiar with it, pick up a copy of this traffic procedure.

These are just a couple of main procedures I use.  There are more along with other strategies, tips, ect. that are not suited to offer on this type of community blog.

Additional resources I provide that can help you are the FREE reports (ebooks) you receive in your email inbox and other reports, ebooks, products and services found in the sidebar.  These are all good resources that I use in my business to succeed and make money.  Won’t you join me?

Remember that saying from science class?  A body at rest tends to stay at rest, and a body in motion tends to stay in motion.

What are you waiting for? Let’s get a move on it. :)

Alexa Traffic Ranking Tool

Wednesday, August 1st, 2007

Alexa is a very powerful tool used to rank web site traffic.  It is one of the most accurate free tools available to find out how well your site ranks up against millions of other sites on the web.

After checking my website www.craigsandrews.com , I currently have an Alexa Traffic Ranking of 302,194 and I’m on the rise!  Actually, my ranking is going lower each day which is what you want.  The lower the number the better.  It means that your web site is on the rise in rankings and traffic, and the more heavily visited the site.  I currently have a 225% increase in Reach over the past 3 months, which is based on the global Internet users who visit my site, and a Traffic Rank increase of 370,872 over the past 3 months, which is a combined measure of page views and users (reach).  After all this is said and done, I’m rockin’ right along knowing that my traffic generation strategies are hitting on all cylinders.  The lower my Alexa rating gets the more traffic I will be receiving.  If you’ve been reading my blog for sometime you will know that Product + Traffic + Optimization = Successful Internet Business!

The Alexa Ranking Tool is not something new.  If you’ve been around for some time you know what I’m talking about.  I wanted to briefly write about it and make you aware again of the importance of this tool in your business.

One way you can use Alexa is to check Alexa’s top 100 ranking sites and see if there is any way you can associate your business with those top sites.  Those top 100 sites are receiving a lot of traffic.  Find a way you tap into them and start benefiting from their traffic sources and traffic ranking.

Alexa’s Toolbar service improves your ability to use the web.  One of Alexa’s most important features is the Related Links.   The Related Links feature tells you about web sites that are “related,” and that you might find interesting to the web sites you are viewing while surfing the web.  It accomplishes this by analyzing the web surfing patterns of other Alexa users, which they call usage paths.

If you haven’t downloaded Alexa’s Toolbar yet, I highly recommend it.  It is a great indicator of your website’s performance, and also of your competitor’s.  Plus, you should utilize Alexa’s other important information which can greatly improve your Internet business.
