Patience and the Nature of Link Building Campaigns

Link Building is Critical
Link building campaigns are absolutely critical for any level of internet marketing success. After all, if you do not have a number of solid link building strategies in place your search engine rankings and your traffic will be minimal. Thankfully, there are various link building campaigns to take part in.  These include reciprocal link exchanges, purchasing links, or hiring the services of a search engine optimization company.  Unfortunately, even though all of these methods are successful, it is impossible to predict any results within a specific time frame. That is why patience is critical when investing in link building campaigns.

While it may seem like a trite answer, the link building campaigns require as much time as is necessary in order to work. That is, you cannot expect to see movement in the search engine or increases in page rank within any predictable timeframe. This is because the search engines and their “spiders” do not have a regularly fixed schedule to crawl the net. So, you do not know when the updates will occur.  Also, the search engines have their own unique formulas for determining search engine rankings. As a result, link building campaigns can not be tailored to achieve a specifically desired result.

Direct traffic, however, is another story. You will obviously reap the benefits of direct traffic as soon as any links are placed on the internet. (Unless, of course, there is little traffic to the site you have placed your links) The stats of this direct traffic will appear immediately on your analytical reports.  So, while the fact is that search engine rankings are unpredictable, you can take solace in the notion that direct traffic is immediate.

Ultimately, the link building campaigns will be successful.  It is just a matter of time.  So, exude a little patience and any link building strategy you employ will reap positive results.

Swap Links–Red Hot Insider Tips You Need To Know

Monday, September 1st, 2008

You must swap links. With you’re website on the Internet you have two goals: the first is to get good-targeted traffic and second to obtain sales. In order to be successful in any of these areas, prospective clients must be able to find you, and this is where link exchange programs come into play.

You will have more chances to receive higher traffic if your website is on the first page of every search engine results, ranked one to ten. You can achieve the rank you desired and link popularity is an excellent way for that.

First, your web page should have a section for partner links. Dedicate this section to link exchange only, but make sure this section is listed in the parent directory, to be upfront, not hidden.

Another way to increase your rank is creating sitemaps for your site. Search engines love sitemaps and they will guarantee an increasing rank.

Also, be careful about the sites you swap links with, as well as their page ranking levels. Choose sites that are relevant to your own site, as search engine use to stress more on a link that is in the same category, than those that are not.

If you own a car related website then just exchange links with other dog related site, etc. However, make sure that you develop a link exchange program with those websites that have a higher PR.

Swap links… some link exchange quick tips:

- Keep your link title short and concise.

- Try to keep your link description brief (less than 200 characters).

- Avoid capitalizing all letters in your link title.

- Do not give the Webmaster a deadline, as it takes from 1 to 60 days or more for them to meet your requests.

- Once a swap link partner has decided to exchange links with you, and placed your link on his site, do not remove their link partner.

- Tell the Webmaster you have seen their site and make sure they understand why a reciprocal link exchange with your website would be beneficial for them.

- Check if your link pages are search engine friendly, as link pages are easier indexed if they have less than 25 links per page.

- Do not provide untrue information in your link exchange request, as most webmasters won’t fall for it and will ignore your request.

- Make sure you categorize your link partners, and start organizing your links for your visitors as well as for your link exchange partners.

- Make sure your links page is linked from your home page.

- Stay away of free-for-all link programs. They offer nothing but unrelated links, and in the end will collect and share your email address, resulting in SPAM in your inbox.

These few tips are only a few small suggestions on how you can build a successful link exchange campaign. As you can see, it is very important to swap links for improved search engine ranking.  You need to work this procedure into your internet business. Don’t let link building campaigns go idle or you’ll be missing out on some great seo benefits.

Is a Link Just a Link?

Monday, July 21st, 2008

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope that you find this post helpful in your quest to make money online. As always, feel free to ask a question or leave a comment, as your participation is always welcome.

First off, If you were one of the many lucky ones to pick up Article Pro Directory at the special price offer the other day, I am going to add a couple of strategies that I use to the email series instead of following up with Part 2 of “How Do We Get More Traffic”.  I feel it better suited for the customers of Article Pro Directory to have privilege to this information then to make it public here on this blog.

Lets get started with today’s information…
Whenever the Internet was very young, it was possible to get a link from any website in any fashion and it would benefit you as far as search engine optimization was concerned.  As a matter of fact, it was common practice in those days for webmasters to exchange links with each other, both out of courtesy and to help them rank for specific keywords.  Eventually, however, that practice became abused to a large extent and Google began to ignore it almost completely.  Does that mean that linking is dead?

The fact of the matter is, links are still a very important part of making sure that you rank well in the search engines.  Even though the rules have changed to a certain extent, getting inbound links is one of the only ways that Google has to rate the popularity of your website.  On-page optimization factors still count to a certain extent but incoming links will account for the majority of off-page optimization and are what really carry the weight.

Unfortunately, it can be very difficult for you to get links into your website unless you become at least a little bit creative.  Some people still spend a lot of time asking for links from other webmasters, and this does work to a certain extent but most people find that they are spinning their wheels at best.  If you really want a link from a certain website and can’t get it through conventional means, perhaps you can add a link to it yourself.

Instead of wasting your time looking for links all over the place, start gaining quality links by offering to write unique content for their website in exchange for a link within the content.  Most webmasters recognize the benefits of adding unique content to their website and if you can give them something that they need, you would be surprised with how quickly they will agree.  It benefits everybody that is involved, them with unique content and you with an incoming link that will boost your rankings.
