Link Building is Critical
Link building campaigns are absolutely critical for any level of internet marketing success. After all, if you do not have a number of solid link building strategies in place your search engine rankings and your traffic will be minimal. Thankfully, there are various link building campaigns to take part in.  These include reciprocal link exchanges, purchasing links, or hiring the services of a search engine optimization company.  Unfortunately, even though all of these methods are successful, it is impossible to predict any results within a specific time frame. That is why patience is critical when investing in link building campaigns.

While it may seem like a trite answer, the link building campaigns require as much time as is necessary in order to work. That is, you cannot expect to see movement in the search engine or increases in page rank within any predictable timeframe. This is because the search engines and their “spiders” do not have a regularly fixed schedule to crawl the net. So, you do not know when the updates will occur.  Also, the search engines have their own unique formulas for determining search engine rankings. Ultimately, the link building campaigns will be successful.  It is just a matter of time.  So, exude a little patience and any link building strategy you employ will reap positive results.

Have you ever looked up a topic on the internet and discovered an excellent article that was not part of a blog website?  Perhaps you have that did not pay very much attention to the venue, which published the article.  That is, you notice that it is an excellent article and that it is one article out of many in a huge online collection.  How did this huge collection of articles come to be?  Well, the article is part of a large collection known as an article directory or another related resource called an ezine directory.

What Type Of Content Is Quality Web Content?
While many people realize that is important to add quality content to their website, they maybe unsure of what type of content is considered quality web content.  To answer that question let’s ask a different question: what type of book is considered a quality book?  It is a book that sells!  In other words and there is interest in the subject matter then the content will draw in an audience to the website.  However, this description is a bit over generalized so let’s take a closer look at some of the types of articles that are among the most popular.

Quality = Good Writing
First, it is important to make a brief mention about quality.  For content articles on a website to have any value they must be well written.  This does not mean they have to be the work of a virtuoso author, but they do need to adhere to proper grammar and structure.  If the content articles are poorly written then they will not benefit the website since sub-par writing will not attract a strong readership.  So, on the most basic of level, no matter what articles are presented they must follow common standards for good writing.

On the flip side, current events are popular as well.  Whether you’re talking about the daily goings on in sports, entertainment, or politics people one read about it.  That is why current events provide excellent content articles as well.

Of course, you could go on forever talking about other types of articles that are popular.  That is why article directories cover virtually every subject matter under the sun.  If you are looking to craft your website into an article directory, you will need content.  Sticking with content articles that are the types of articles that were the most popular is always a good way to start out.

Hard Work
Today is just going to be sort of a rambling.  I’ve worked very hard for roughly the past year or so trying to reach the top 10 in Google for “Internet Business Blog”.  My first 6 months I spent learning about the Internet and what running an Internet Business was all about.  I was clueless.  I had no real background in computers, no experience, didn’t know HTML, didn’t know blogging or SEO, didn’t know anything except that an average person like me might have a chance at success and financial freedom if I could have my own Internet Business.

Perseverance
The second 6 months were spent practicing what I digested. Sometimes succeeding, but most of the time failing.  The past year or so I’ve “cracked the code”and put it into overdrive.  I’ve been hoovering in and around the top 10 for “Internet Business Blog” for a good 9 months, but as of this writing I currently rank #5 along with some of the top Internet Marketers you will ever find e.g. #1 - Yaro Starak, #2 - Fred Black at PQInternet, #3 - James Brausch who I believe is retired now, #4  - Terry Dean ( a fellow Christian brother and one I admire), and #5 - Me!

Determination
I didn’t get to #5 by accident.  I put the hours in and I put them in hard.  I worked my tail off.  When I first started I would work during the day and work on my Internet Business at night in-between our newborn waking up every 2 to 3 hours all night long!  I had to juggle my time between helping with the new baby, and my wife who also deserves my attention.  I’ve spent many nights staring at my computer until my eyes hurt and I could hardly keep them open.  I knew I could do it.  It was something an average guy like me could learn and practice.  As soon as I had my first taste of success, I was off and running and never looked back.

Sacrifice
I’ve built my Internet Business primarily on Article Marketing and List Building so I do think I know a little about that .  To me, that is where you generate the best targeted traffic and build your lists from there.  Yes there is a lot more to it than writing some articles and hoping someone reads it and signs up for my list.  There is a science so to speak.  A method to the madness.  Way more information than you can put into a blog post.  That’s what I try and teach here on my blog and in my products and services I offer.

Internet Business Success
I just want to take a deep breath and enjoy that #5 spot for awhile as I look back on the efforts I put into rising above the remaining 43,799,995.  You can do it too if you want to, but you have to posses the desire and passion just like Yaro, Fred, James, and Terry all do.

I think I would like to interview them someday soon and hear what they have to say about their great success!  It would make for some great inspiring reading, don’t you think?

I just want to close with one of the sayings my dear Dad always blurted out when I was a young lad.  To this day I’ve somehow always remembered it.  I can still hear him saying it in my head!  It goes like this…

“Someone said it couldn’t be done, but he with a quip replied. That maybe it couldn’t, but he would be one, who wouldn’t say so ’till he tried.

With a bit of grin and a lift of his chin, without any doubting or quit.  He started to sing as he tackled the thing, that couldn’t be done and he did it!”
