Internet Business Blog Update

Monday, September 29th, 2008

Last week I took it easy on you and didn’t post anything so your email inbox probably was a little lighter than usual from me.  I normally post three times a week, usually Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  Some bloggers post every day, but I tend to think that’s a little much from the standpoint of the subscriber. You barely have time to digest today’s post and then another one hits you the next day.  On the other side of the coin it is a benefit to the blogger because you are adding content every day and if you didn’t know by now, content is King or as John Reese puts it, content is Kong!

So last week I took a little break from the blog scene and worked on some other important projects.  To summarize, I have been working on building up more content for you on my blog, more articles for submission for back links, and a couple of new e-Reports for viral marketing.

Two of the major projects I am trying to finish is an awesome video course on blog traffic called “Blog Traffic Domination”, and an A to Z program on where you can learn how to start with your own product, set up a blog or website, learn keyword strategy, show you how to generate traffic, start link building, SEO, and more to get you making some money.  It will be sort of an Internet Business Roadmap so to speak.

“Blog Traffic Domination” is almost completed, but the A to Z program will definitely take some time to finish.  In the meantime, I also have a few other ideas up my sleeve that will aid you in your quest to succeed online.  Blog Traffic Domination is not only for blogs, but any website too.  It is mainly about traffic generation.  As the say in Real Estate, traffic, traffic, traffic… oh crazy me, I’m sorry they say that in the Internet Business, not Real Estate.  That’s right, traffic!  Traffic is a major component to internet success.  You can have the best gosh darn looking website this side of the Mississippi, but without traffic your up the mighty Miss without a paddle.

Product+SEO+Traffic=Success

There are many little lessons to learn and apply with each of the above factors, and that’s my goal to try and educate you so you too can become successful.  Hang in there, there is a lot to learn and I am trying to put it all together for you in a Master Plan where you can get from A to Z in the most efficient and productive manner.

This week I should be back to my usual three day a week blog posts and each week thereafter.  Thanks for reading!

Learn Affiliate Marketing-How To Break The Bank With Shrewd Affiliate Marketing

Friday, September 19th, 2008

Learn Affiliate Marketing As An Easy Way To Make Money
When you learn affiliate marketing it is definitely one of the quickest and easiest ways you can make money online. Affiliate marketing comes to simply finding a program created by someone else, only to turn it around, and then sells it for that person.  Actually, there is a little bit more to it when you begin to learn affiliate marketing.  Having knowledge of Google Adsense and running PPC campaigns will definitely be a plus.

Little Or No Experience Required
There is little or even no experience required, being able to make a few dollars online, with the use of affiliate marketing. Nevertheless, if you choose to do this as a full-time job, you may need to invest some money in your future training.  As I mentioned in the previous paragraph, you may need to spend a little money and educate yourself with PPC campaigns before you make a go at it.  You can loose a lot of money if you are unfamiliar with Google Adsense.

More Benefits When You Learn Affiliate Marketing
You can even make huge profit using this certain type of promoting and you can rest assured that there are more benefits when you learn affiliate marketing, than down falls, as many may think.

Here is a short list of the perks affiliate marketing may have:

* You don’t have to offer assistance

* There is never any need for you to ship

* There is no need for a website to be created

* There will always be something to sell

* The market is constantly expanding

List Of Perks
When you learn affiliate marketing for other people’s products, there is also a short list of the perks you might encounter. Perhaps the most important of them all for you, is that you don’t have to offer assistance, and that there is no need for you to ship.

Having Your Own Website Or Squeeze Page Is Good
Support as well as shipping is left to the owner and creator of the initial program. There is in addition to all these, no need for a website. This does not however mean that having your website is not a good idea, on the contrary, but in affiliate marketing, affiliates usually have a replicated website.

There Are Products For Everyone
There is yet another question as you learn affiliate marketing, you might, at one point ask yourself: What if you will not be able to come up with something to sell online? Rest assured, this will never happen simply because there is always something for you to sell.  There are products for everyone online. There are products out there specifically made for somebody that needs them and wants them, and that also fits what you are searching for, yourself.

Affiliate Marketing Outlook Is Strong
There will never be a moment for you to ever worry about whether the market is going up, or down, as the future is being built online, from home. Billions of people are looking for ways to make money online, even as we speak, thus this market is waiting for you, too.

Sell Products That Interest You
Still, what’s really important as you learn affiliate marketing is to make sure you sell something that also interests you, so that you can dedicate your time to it, as it is known that when you do something that does not have any kind of interest to be used, it ends up in people not using it.

How To Write An Article-Part 2 Dealing with Writer’s Block With Commentary and Opinion

Wednesday, September 17th, 2008

Regularly Update A Blog With New Content
How to write an article from writer’s block is far from a benign problem. It has the potential to sink a blog or, at the very least, it can significantly lower the blog’s readership. This is because there is a great deal of competition out there. Therefore, it is very important that a blog is updated regularly with new content.  When you do not regularly update a blog and it simply hosts the same articles seemingly forever, people will fall out of their regular habit of reading the blog. After all, what is the point of checking out a blog if there is no new information on it?  Worst of all, people will begin to assume that you have stopped writing completely and that the blog itself is no more.  Considering how much time and effort it takes to build up an audience, losing that audience would be heartbreaking so here is a little trick that goes a long way in circumventing writer’s block and solve how to write an article.

One Simple Means Of Adding Content
One simple means of adding content to your blog would be to look for interesting news reports related to the material on your blog. For example, if your blog centers on the movie industry you can always skim the net for news about the movie industry, interviews with professionals in the industry, upcoming new releases, etc. If you come across something that catches your eye mention it on your blog and briefly provide a few sentences of your opinion on it. You can even add a link to the article and suggest your readers check it out.

Fantastic Solution To How To Write An Article
This may not seem like much, but it adds content to your blog and keeps the blog active. Also, the blog becomes a hub of news and information in addition to your own original creative writing. This beats the devil known as writer’s block and keeps your blog active for your readers. It also provides a fantastic solution for how to write an article. Of course, that is a good thing!

How To Write An Article-Dealing with Writer’s Block By Relying on Features

Monday, September 15th, 2008

How To Write An Article
As much as we are loath to admit it, we all run into writer’s block sometimes when it comes to “how to write an article”. Writer’s block is often described as being unable to come up with anything to write about. However, this is not always an accurate description of what writer’s block may be. Sometimes, writer’s block involves not being able to come up with a topic to write about. If you can come up with a topic then the words might very well flow much easier than most people would assume. However, this doesn’t answer the question as to how to come up with a topic if you a decent topic currently escape you. This is where “feature articles” come into play.

How To Come Up With 5 Feature Ideas
When you flip open any magazine, you will notice that original, stand alone articles only make up about a third of the magazine. The rest of the magazine involves various columns and features that appear month in and month out. This format has worked very successfully for the print world for decades and there is no reason why it will not work in the blogosphere as well. Actually, it is quite easy to do and will overcome our problem of how to write an article. All you need to do is come up with five feature ideas. Since the presidential election is coming up let’s look at politics as an example.

Additional Feature Ideas You Can Add
While there is always something going on in the world of politics, there will be days (or weeks) where news is slow or ideas are slim and you simply can’t find something to talk about on your blog. When this occurs, you can rely on your regular features to keep your blog alive with new material. Here are a few features you could add: book reviews, DVD reviews, this day in history segments, a glimpse at popular YouTube political videos, etc. Really, there is no limit to the various feature ideas you can come up with and they will work wonders for keeping your blog lively and updated. Your worries on how to write an article and overcoming writer’s block will now be gone for good.

Social Networking Websites And Anti-Social Networking?

Thursday, September 11th, 2008

The Dark Side Of Social Networking
You are known by the company you keep.  Who knows where this old saying comes from?  More than likely, it is a saying that predates any form of written communication.  In caveman days, it was not uncommon to drive out fellow Homo Sapiens from the group if it was felt this fellow traveler represented a potential drag on hunting and gathering.  Really, how can a tribe afford to have a weak link in a group when they are trying to stay alive?  We have come a long way since caveman days but some of this sentiment remains. This is why no serious company would affiliate or associate with anyone who would give their company of bad name or embarrass them.  In “real life” unceremoniously giving someone the boot is not all that hard to do when you can see the damage they are causing. However, when businesses seek to promote themselves online been a number of troublemakers can cause hassles for your business.  This is the proverbial dark side of social networking websites and marketing.

Choose Your Friends Wisely
Many people on social networking websites are anything but social.  In fact, then might even embody the worst stereotypes regarding denizens of the internet.  So, let’s add another old saying to the current equation: choose your friends wisely.

Don’t Add Friends Without Profile Checking
If you are using social networking websites to promote your business it would be best to add a lot of friends to your profile.  This is not because you are looking to sell to them, but rather it makes a great impression when it appears so many people are paying attention to your business.  This is why whenever requests for friends appear in a mailbox they are added without a second thought.  Well, if you are adding friends without checking out their profiles first then you may be making a huge mistake. Seriously… what if a number of those friends have profiling promoting drug use, criminal behavior or all sorts of anti-social behavior? This would hardly reflect well on your business and sets the stage for a potentially major embarrassment. While it is nice to have friends you have to pick them wisely. This is true in life as well as in business social marketing.

Use Anti-Social Networking To Your Benefit
So remember this lesson when it comes to social networking websites, use anti-social networking to your benefit when the situation arises. You’ll be glad you did.

Internet Marketing Blog-Blog Comment Dangers

Monday, September 8th, 2008

Blogs Support Internet Business Ventures
As most internet marketers realize, blogs do wonders for promoting a business.  That is why so many entrepreneurs use an internet marketing blog (or blogs) in support of their business ventures.  Now, imagine investing several hours one week to post a series of informative articles on the subject related to your business.  You’re quite proud of the content of the blogs because it reflects some of your best work.  Clearly, the addition of these high quality articles to the Internet will certainly paid in improving their presence.

Bad Comments
Then… a couple days go by and you have not checked your internet marketing blog out to see if any of your loyal readers have left comments.  You have a little free time so you pull up the blog and read what the public is saying.  Unfortunately, what there are saying isn’t fit to print.

How Much Damage?
Instead of heaping praise, the comments on your internet marketing blog are loaded with four letter words, vicious criticism, and personal attacks.  This commentary is inappropriate as potentially harmful to your business, you’ve been spammed!  You immediately delete all the comments and wonder if during the two days the comments were posted if it has done any harm to your business.  Hopefully, it has not been only time will tell.

Never Allow Unrestricting Blog Comments
Sadly, there are those people in the world who seemingly enjoyed causing trouble for others.  Jealousy and envy have a tendency to motivate seemingly rational people to do very egregious things. Then, there will be those calculating competitors will do anything in their power to upset your business.  For these types of people, attacking your internet marketing blog hoping that it will negatively impact sales is one tactic they will employ. This is why it is always critical to never allow any unrestricting blog comments to be posted on your business blog. Instead, the function that delays publishing comments until after you have reviewed them should always be engaged. This can save a lot of time, trouble and embarrassment for you business. Remember, blogging is supposed to help you business and not be a foil that aids in harming it.

Internet Marketing For Small Business–What You Need To Know To Prevail

Friday, September 5th, 2008

Internet Marketing For Small Business. Surprisingly, many people don’t know exactly what it is! Most times when people think of Internet marketing the first thing that comes into their minds is “It’s a way of making lots of money fast by joining programs or selling stuff”. Other people believe Internet marketing is nothing more than a bunch of schemes to scam people out of their money.

As a successful Internet marketing entrepreneur it bothers me see people having this narrowed mindset about this business. So I considered it would be great if I could clear up these misconceptions by writing this article.

First, most money making programs you see where you join and then have to engage a bunch of other people in order to make money is not Internet marketing for small business. Usually they are nothing more than fraudulent Ponzi scheme and a good way to tell is by noticing what’s promoted more, the product or the business opportunity, if there is even a product at all!

Joining an opportunity that promises that you will make dozens of cash by selling their product and recruiting others to do the same is not Internet marketing. These opportunities are called MLM or Multi Level Marketing. You can apply Internet marketing techniques to help promote these programs or anything else for that matter, but they are not considered Internet marketing.

Internet Marketing for small business is being able to implement many different methods of Internet advertising to generate sales of numerous products or services. To be highly successful in this field a person must have creative skills and have at least some knowledge of the Internet – including basic web design, writing skills and most importantly advertising and marketing skills.

Some of the methods required to generate a response or to find prospective customers include search engine marketing, e-mail marketing, affiliate marketing, video production, email advertising and more.

A successful marketer is or tends to become a master in all or at least some of these techniques and usually includes all of them into an advertising campaign.

Being a skilled internet marketing entrepreneur means being able to actually take any product or service with potential resale value and find a market and then generate sales or leads for that product or service. The best Internet marketers know when they see a good product and this ability comes from experience or trial and error. Being able to identify a good service or product is one more skill that a talented Internet marketer must have.

So, you know, there is much involved to becoming successful in Internet marketing for small business, and there is much to be learned and practiced. It isn’t something that will make you rich overnight, if you are just starting out; still, there are some fellow marketers that have been able to make it.

If you really want to build a solid career in Internet marketing for small business there is a lot of money to be made, but you will have to learn the game and invest the time and effort it takes to become successful.

Until next time, great success in all you do!

Ebay Stores and Online Businesses

Thursday, September 4th, 2008

Ebay Stores Have Made It Very Easy
Remember in 1970’s when comic books were filled with full page ads from mail order companies? Ok, maybe some of you aren’t that old so here is a little history lesson.  At one time, if you wished to operate a mail order business you had to take out significant print advertisements in magazines and other publications.  Because of this, unless you’re a big money player who could afford significant advertising budgets you really couldn’t make a serious run in the mail order business.  Sure, some people tried to kick start their mail order companies hoping that if they bought three months worth of ads they could make a quick buck.  In reality, unless you bought multiyear advertising space the odds of any success were minimal.  Today, all of this has changed, as it is very easy to get involved in mail order sales. In particular, Ebay stores have made it very easy to create a large presence for yourself on the net and sell your stock through the mail.

Get Up And Running Quickly
Ebay stores are not the same operation as the auction wing of the website. For a fixed fee, each person or company can list various items for sale at a buy it now price.  These items are then listed throughout Ebay’s auctions can be viewed by its many millions of potential customers.  The fees for entering products into the Ebay store are minimal and the number of people browsing Ebay looking to make purchases is well into to the millions. In short, you will pay 1/10 of the price of magazine advertisements and will reach a significantly larger audience.  This means you can have your online mail order business up and running with few hassles.

Your Odds For Success Are Pretty Good
Of course, this does not automatically mean that customers will buy but the odds for success are pretty good.  After all, is believed 750,000 people make a full time living selling on Ebay.  Perhaps, you can make it 750,001.

Until next time, great success in all you do!

Keyword Ranking-How To Write Keyword Rich Content For Maximum Impact

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

Millions of companies are using keyword-rich articles in order to gain free exposure all over the Internet, and to maximize their sites with keyword ranking. Whether you’re an online marketer a product or a writer looking for freelance work, chances are you can benefit greatly from keyword articles.

You may ask yourselves: But what good are keywords? What you want, when you are marketing a product is for people to be able to easily find you. The methods you are using while searching for something specific, are the same methods all the Internet users out there utilize, that is keyword search.

You shouldn’t be reluctant in writing keyword-rich articles for keyword ranking, even though you’ve never done this before. It is nothing different than writing regular pieces of content. All you need to do is simply follow these easy guidelines for keyword writing and get ready to have readers pour in!

- Learn the buzzwords.

Every industry has its own jargon and language. If you’re a master in your field, it’s quite easy to identify the keywords and you don’t need to read up on it. If you’re writing about a relatively new subject for you, do some additional research. Read several different articles to get an idea of the language used and the most popular sub-categories of the field.

- Write the article without focusing on the keywords.

When writing an article, it’s best not to focus on the keywords so much; don’t let yourself carried away by time-wasting word-selection, which might prevent you from writing in a natural manner. If you know what you’re writing about, then keywords will smoothly fall where you want them to, without effort, and you will get your keywords without even knowing.

- Determine the popularity of your keywords for maximum keyword ranking.

Uses the Google Keyword Selector Tool to find out how many times your visitors have used keywords that directed them to your site.

https://adwords.google.com/select/Login

Type in the word and hit return.

- Select keywords that are specific rather than general.

If I was to write an article on negotiating fees with a freelance copywriter, then I would use popular keywords, related to my topic, such as “Freelance copywriting rates” as this is probably something a potential visitor would actually type.

- Scan your existing text for keywords

After completing your draft and selecting your keywords, put them together. Try to find the first keyword. You might as well have slipped it there, if you knew how to write your article.

- Find and Change

Instead of using the word “writing” in your article about copywriting, “copywriting” should be a better choice. Change all these keyword-phrases and re-order some of your sentences.

- Proofread your article

Read the text again, now that you have changed it, take time to correct it; check for spelling mistakes, etc. Try not to repeat the same word, and try to make your vocabulary as varied as possible.

- Include the keywords in your headline for better keyword ranking

You will usually come up with the best headline for your article at the end of the writing process, and not before, so wait until you finish and then you will get the best hard-hitting headline.

Are you feeling more comfortable now about keyword article writing and keyword ranking? You can start making money by writing keyword-rich content for the world.

Until next time, great success in all you do!

Internet Business Idea-The Need for Re-branding an Online Business

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

Here’s An Internet Business idea to keep in your file.

It Takes A Long Time To Brand Your Business
It takes a long time to develop a brand for your business.  After all, when a business is new very few people are familiar with it.  However, as you expand your presence in the marketplace more people become aware of it.  First, they may become customers and then with a little luck they will become loyal customers.  Unfortunately, there are things that can harm your business reputation.  This is where this internet business idea comes into play.

A Bad Marketing Idea
Sometimes, something as simple as a bad marketing idea can do tremendous amount of harm to a business.  The only and the most historic example of this would be the release of New Coke in the 1980’s. After building up a brand name empire for a century, Coca-Cola nearly threw it all away with the release of a product no one liked nor wanted. Thankfully for Coca-Cola, the fiasco was quickly forgotten when the original form of Coke was re-issued to store shelves.

Re-Brand Your Business
If you are a small online business you probably will not be able to salvage a reputation as quickly as Coca-Cola did.  However, if the name of your business has been damaged then you must do what you can and take the necessary steps to re-brand your business. While this internet business idea process is not necessarily an easy one, it can be done with a little diligent effort.

Internet Business Idea Could Take Some Time
Sometimes, all that is required for re-branding is finding a new logo and company slogan while instituting a new marketing plan. The scope and focus of your company may very well remain the same although it embodies a completely new look. In a way, this is like hitting the “restart button” so as to disassociate a company from its previous failings. Yes, this internet business idea could take some time but as long as your loyal, hardcore customer fan base stay with you then the re-branding effort may work quite well.

Swap Links–Red Hot Insider Tips You Need To Know

Monday, September 1st, 2008

You must swap links. With you’re website on the Internet you have two goals: the first is to get good-targeted traffic and second to obtain sales. In order to be successful in any of these areas, prospective clients must be able to find you, and this is where link exchange programs come into play.

You will have more chances to receive higher traffic if your website is on the first page of every search engine results, ranked one to ten. You can achieve the rank you desired and link popularity is an excellent way for that.

First, your web page should have a section for partner links. Dedicate this section to link exchange only, but make sure this section is listed in the parent directory, to be upfront, not hidden.

Another way to increase your rank is creating sitemaps for your site. Search engines love sitemaps and they will guarantee an increasing rank.

Also, be careful about the sites you swap links with, as well as their page ranking levels. Choose sites that are relevant to your own site, as search engine use to stress more on a link that is in the same category, than those that are not.

If you own a car related website then just exchange links with other dog related site, etc. However, make sure that you develop a link exchange program with those websites that have a higher PR.

Swap links… some link exchange quick tips:

- Keep your link title short and concise.

- Try to keep your link description brief (less than 200 characters).

- Avoid capitalizing all letters in your link title.

- Do not give the Webmaster a deadline, as it takes from 1 to 60 days or more for them to meet your requests.

- Once a swap link partner has decided to exchange links with you, and placed your link on his site, do not remove their link partner.

- Tell the Webmaster you have seen their site and make sure they understand why a reciprocal link exchange with your website would be beneficial for them.

- Check if your link pages are search engine friendly, as link pages are easier indexed if they have less than 25 links per page.

- Do not provide untrue information in your link exchange request, as most webmasters won’t fall for it and will ignore your request.

- Make sure you categorize your link partners, and start organizing your links for your visitors as well as for your link exchange partners.

- Make sure your links page is linked from your home page.

- Stay away of free-for-all link programs. They offer nothing but unrelated links, and in the end will collect and share your email address, resulting in SPAM in your inbox.

These few tips are only a few small suggestions on how you can build a successful link exchange campaign. As you can see, it is very important to swap links for improved search engine ranking.  You need to work this procedure into your internet business. Don’t let link building campaigns go idle or you’ll be missing out on some great seo benefits.
