Keyword Relevancy-Brevity and Keywords Go Together

Friday, August 29th, 2008

Integrating Important Keywords Is Critical
In order to find something on the internet, people must type keywords into the search engines. This is why it is critical to integrate important keywords into the content of a website. No matter how excellent the text of your website is it will be ignored by search queries if it lacks keywords. This is probably the most common mistake people make when they craft otherwise an excellent website. For example, a website that is promoting walking for health and fitness will have a hard time being discovered if the terms people are typing into the search engines are missing from the aforementioned website.

Select The Right Keywords
However, it is also important to select the right keywords and not selecting keywords without any adherence to the common keywords people will utilize. Here is an example of how an otherwise excellent content article could be undermined. Let’s say that the hypothetical walking for exercise website published an article on how walking exercises burn carbohydrates. The keywords used in the article are “walking burns carbs”. This is a really poor choice of keyword relevancy for a number of reasons.

Attract The Widest Amount Of Traffic
First, it is too specialized and pinpointed. Yes, carbs can make you overweight and any walking exercises can aid in burning carbs; however, the vast majority of people looking to burn carbs or lose weight by walking would not type in “walking burns carbs”. They would type in much simpler terms such as walking fitness, walking weight loss, burn carbs, walking exercises, etc. Sure, there may be a few folks out there who might connect walking with carb burning but their numbers are too few to craft specified keywords around them. Remember, you want keywords to attract the widest amount of traffic as possible.  Keeping your keywords more relevant or mixing relevant keywords with specified ones is a better idea.

Shorter Popular Keywords Have More Competition
Ranking for the shorter, more popular keywords is a whole other story. You will find the most popular, shorter keywords, have far too much competition to rank well, and you could spend a lifetime and fortune trying to rank in the top 10 for them.  A better approach is to put your effort into ranking for the long tail keywords and LSI keywords. Although your traffic won’t be prominent, your results may surprise you.  I will cover this in more detail in a future article because it is very important you understand the proper way on how to master this strategy. Keyword analysis is a major area that you need to focus on to be highly successful.
Until next time, great success in all you do!

Generate Web Traffic-7 Winning Techniques You Need To Know

Thursday, August 28th, 2008

Generate web traffic depends on the amount of visits a website receives. The classic term traffic generation determines if a website will either survive or not. The more visitors a web site will have, the more likely is to survive and the business to grow even more. This is the very reason that drives internet marketers to constantly find new ways to get the attention of their targeted audience.

Traffic generation remains the only source that can help you make money from your online business. The more traffic you get, the higher the chances of increase in the volume of your business. For this, internet marketers wisely prepare ahead their campaign, and the main goal is to be a search engine favorite.

Here are some winning methods to generate web traffic:

Invest in good advertising with the popular search engines.

Google and Yahoo usually draw huge number of traffic, as they are the top search engines all over the internet, and they also some offer interesting schemes for advertising.

Trade links with other websites and shops online.

Link trades or link exchanges are when two websites agree to feature hyperlinks to each other’s websites on their respective websites. These links can usually be found in a list, or sometimes on a separate page on the website. Link exchanges can benefit both parties and they are free, as they only require an agreement.

Market virally to generate web traffic

Viral marketing is a sort of undercover advertising, in which videos, games, articles and so on are spread on the Internet through blogs or sites, having the company’s name attached to them. This way of advertising is cheap, but it depends on how creative and attractive you can be.

Use the most appropriate keywords and keyword phrases for your website.

Since search engines are the essential tools for anyone using the Internet, they should be made easily accessible by their businesses. This process is called search engine optimization and will be a major factor to generate web traffic.

Write articles to spread awareness and boost interest in your site.

You can write articles related to the industry you are in, and it can be put up on the company’s website, or submitted to other such sites. You can submit your articles either manually, or my favorite is using a top notch article submission software such as Article Pro Software.

Get involved in online forum discussions and create your own online communities.

Another way to advertise your site is to participate in forums, so that more people find out about your top quality services. The community you start creating on the forum, will ensure new market, and also attract new customers.

Make newsletters available to generate web traffic.

All the same, newsletter is another means of traffic generation to increase the interest in your business. Make sure the information you provide has quality content, so that people will subscribe to your newsletter.

The success of all online businesses depends on the traffic generation you create for your website. Internet businesses can indeed be more than profitable, as long as you keep on tapping the endless resource that is the World Wide Web.

Until next time, great success in all you do!

Search Engine Optimization Training-Two Quick and Basic SEO Tips

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

Link Popularity And Volume
When it comes to succeeding in the realm of search engine optimization, everything returns to link popularity and volume. However, there are more efficient ways to go about this. Some of these methods might be a little involved and complicated and then there are those very simple tips that provide a great help in maximizing SEO success. Of these tips there are two very, very simple tips that most people miss when looking to boost their search engine rankings. Perhaps, it is time to take a look at them.

Select The Right Link Name
Selecting the right link name when you build your links is critical as well. This means you have to select a link name that will match what people will type into the search engines. For example, if you have a website on Science-Fiction books called “The Interstellar Domain” you do not want to name you links “The Interstellar Doman”. This is because that is not what people will type in the search engines when they want to look up information on science-fiction books. They will type in…. you guessed it….”science fiction books” or something to that effect. So, if you name your links science-fiction books, sc-fi books, etc you will have better luck with your SEO ventures.

Start Your Link Building From Day One
Another helpful tip that is often overlooked involves launching an SEO campaign as soon as the website is published. The mistake make people make is they will wait several weeks – or more - to start their link building. This is a tactical error because the spiders do not crawl for links the day the links appear. It may take several months for the spiders to crawl the web to log the links. Any needless delay in circulating links on the web will significantly delay gaining any SEO benefits. This is why it is critical to start your link building from day one.

Until next time, great success in all you do!

Competitive Marketing–How You Can Remarkably Boost Your Credibility With An Article Submission Service

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

Competitive marketing is a topic all internet businesses must master to be highly successful. Submitting your articles to article submission sites and directories will bring your articles to the attention of various webmasters, blog owners and e-zine publishers for appealing and original web content.

Once you have a written your articles, the next step is to submit them to as many articles directories as possible. Most distribution services are free; still there are some that charge a small fee. The entire process will take some time before you see the results, but in the long run you’ll find the rewards even more exciting.

Article directories would not exist without authors submitting their work to article directories, leading to a win-win situation as authors get their work distributed on the Internet and the article directories get articles for distribution.

To enter the competitive marketing game and making the most of those links, let’s take a look at what most article submission directories require.

The first step when visiting an article directory is to open an account. You will provide a login, a password and a valid e-mail address. If you get the chance to write an author’s biography (bio) or extended bio don’t hesitate to do so. It is a great opportunity to include up to three links to your web page.

The second step is to carefully read the directories Terms Of Service (TOS). You must read, understand and honor the directories terms of service, or else your article may be rejected.

Most article submission directories will provide you information related to article length and summary, the use of HTML in your article body, how many links you are allowed to insert in your Resource Box. You will also be able to get an idea on what kind of articles will not be accepted. Most article submission directories will not publish sales oriented articles, articles for self-promotion and press releases.

Now you’re ready to start submitting articles and begin your competitve marketing quest. On the article submission page you’ll see a place where you can select the category your article relates to. You will also have to present your article title on a separate line. Remember that the title must contain the keywords or phrases and should be as powerful as possible. Most websites won’t allow you to use caps in your title, however, you can capitalize the first letter of each word.

Most article submission sites require a summary of the article, so you can write a short paragraph that presents the main ideas of your article. Some sites allow authors to use a paragraph right from the article, while others require an original text as a summary. Many sites also require the keywords, so start by listing the main keyword or phrase at the beginning, followed by a comma.

Next, place the body of your text in the proper box. Some sites allow limited HTML in the body of the article. This usually includes bold, italics and bullet points. Once the article is in the box, analyze the layout and see whether the paragraphs are too long or if the word count exceeds 850-900 words.

Spelling is another major issue. Once the article is accepted for distribution, you may be embarrassed to discover spelling mistakes or typos posted on different websites, with your name on it. Before submitting your article read it again, just to make sure that it has a flow and it’s easy to read.

Remember, each article means more links to your site and potential sales, making article submission one of the best ways to drive free, targeted traffic to your web site, boost your credibility on the web and help drive sales. You need to continually improve your competitive marketing skills.

Mastering article writing and submissions, copywriting, indepth keyword analysis, seo, link building, are just a few of the major categories you need to become highly knowledgeable in.

Until next time, great success in all you do!

Writing An Article-Article Directory Serials

Monday, August 25th, 2008

Write 10 Articles On One Topic
If you want to maximize traffic generation via submissions to an article directory then it would be a good idea to submit as many articles as possible. After all, if you submit only one article the traffic generated to your website is going to be minimal. But, there will be those who might have a little difficulty coming up with ten different topics. Actually, there might not even be any need to do this. In fact, you may be able to come up with one topic and then write ten articles based around this topic. So, in essence, instead of writing a series of articles you are actually publishing an e-book in installments.

Differentiate Yourself From The Pack
Then again, this is not so much an e-book as much as it is a serial no different than what would appear in newspapers. But, is this method truly better than submitting a series of individual topics? It is best not to look at this from the angle of what is better. Instead, it would be a far wiser idea to look at it from the angle of differentiation. After all, if you want to differentiate yourself from the pack then you have to take a new and novel approach.

The Serial Method Makes A Better Impression
For example, the sheer volume of articles floating around the internet on the subject of search engine optimization is probably too vast to count. Adding another 500 word article covering the same subject matter is not the best way to maximize the use of an article directory. An extensive ten page article that breaks down your company’s specific approach to search engine optimization may prove interesting. Of course, instead of submitting it as a ten page essay it would be submitted ten times in installments. This creates the impression that your articles on search engine optimization are an ongoing process as opposed to a few articles “thrown out there” to generate traffic. Obviously, the serial method makes for a much better impression and this can greatly aid in increasing traffic.

Until next time, great success in all you do!

Hi All,

As we all know content is King, or really we should be saying content is KONG!

Content, useful and valuable content is what drives the internet, and we should always be striving to improve in that department.  Everywhere we deliver our content, it should be the best we can put together.  That’s how we are viewed and graded. If we provide e-books, they should be of quality. If we provide articles, they should be written with useful information. Blog posts, e-reports, sales letters, squeeze pages, email series, ect. all should be written with our best efforts.

I have put together an e-Report you can download if interested titled “How To Develop Your Content Skills and Send Your Sales Through The Roof!”

You can keep it, give it away to your list, or add it to another product of yours.

Online Business-Is It Suffering from Over Saturation?

Wednesday, August 20th, 2008

Motivate People
There are a number of ways to motivate people into hopping on the gravy train of a successful strategy. Probably the most common way would be to show them a success story or two. That is, if you present the biography of someone who made millions in an online business venture many people will work very hard at duplicating such footsteps. Many times, this turns out to be a wise move. Inspired by their heroes a number of “average folk” give online marketing a try and develop a successful business. This inspires more people to take a shot with online business ventures. Then, before you know it, you have thousands of people giving it a shot. Uh oh. Does this mean they are oversaturating the market and making it difficult to stand out if you are planning a new business? Well, it would seem that way…. but it isn’t.

It Doesn’t Matter How Many People Try
Yes, there are tons of people out there trying drop shipping, network marketing, paid to blog opportunities, etc. That makes the field very crowded in terms of sheer numbers. In terms of actual skill, well, that is a different song altogether. Sometimes, it really doesn’t matter how many people try to make a go of an online business. What matters is the strategy that is employed. Keep in mind, millions of people have wanted to be actors and failed. Brad Pitt, however, succeeded tremendously. This is because his competition really wasn’t any competition.

Success Will Be Based On What You Do
There are a number of factors that come into play regarding making an online business venture successful. The amount of hours you put in, your ability to read the market, and a little luck are all examples of these factors. If you have “it” then you are going to succeed because, ultimately, success will be based on what you do and not what millions of others are doing.

The Multiple Domain Name Marketing Strategy

Friday, August 15th, 2008

What Can You Do To Develop An Edge?
Standing out from the crowd is difficult when it comes to running an online business. After all, there are probably a host of other online businesses that are similar to the one you are operating. Even more problematic is the fact that both you and your competitors are vying for the same search engine rankings as well as visitor traffic. So, what can an online business do to develop an edge? One proven method involves purchasing more than one domain name as a way of promoting your business.

Own More Of The Internet
Owning more than one domain name never hurts when it comes to running an online business. Before I ever even heard of John Reese and his philosophy a few months ago, I figured out that in order to be a player and drive more traffic you need to acquire more internet real estate.  Not that I’m any better than John, I have a long way to go in that department, but it was just common sense to me in order to acquire more traffic you need to be in front of more people.  Domains are just a part of it though. After all, the more domain names you posses the more listings in the search engines you will have. (Five different domain names means five separate ranking for the same business) This means that more and more people have the potential to come across your business when they plug in their favorite keywords into Google or Yahoo,

Developing A Larger Presence
This does not mean, however, that you need to publish a completely new website for each domain name either. Often, you can simply have the domain redirect to your business’ primary home page. Simply purchasing domain names related to subsets of your business can work wonders for expanding the volume of traffic your site receives. For example, if you are operating a website that is selling fishing equipment you can have one domain name for saltwater fishing, one for freshwater fishing, one for international fishing trips, one for deep sea fishing, etc. This way, your online business will start to develop a larger presence on the web than it would with only one single domain name.

A Strategy That Pays Many Dividends
Best of all, many domain names can be purchased quit inexpensively as there are always special offers floating about for cheap domain name purchases and registrations. I usually pay around $9.00 for a domain name, and I am constantly dreaming up names that I purchase for future use. That is why the multiple domain name strategy pays so many dividends – it is an effective strategy that comes with little cost and lots of rewards.

Until next time, great success in all you do!

Make Money Online–Build It Over Time

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

Make Money Online Ads Are Exaggerated
Yes, it is most definitely true that most advertisements promoting the ability to “make money online” employ exaggerations quite liberally. Many of these ads promote the notion of acquiring wealth far beyond anyone’s wildest imagination. To a degree, this is not necessarily overstated because it is most definitely true that a committed entrepreneur can make significant money online. The problem with some of these ads, however, is the fact that they infer that it is possible to make significant money online rapidly. Now, while this is not completely out of the realm of possibility it is pretty rare. Most importantly, rushing a business plan to make a lot of money in the short term may prove to be more self-defeating than it is helpful.

Be Prepared For Set-Backs
All businesses have bugs to work out. When you launch a venture you will make mistakes. These mistakes will have to be corrected so they are not repeated in the future. That’s a given. Then, there will be problems with productivity. If your production capabilities are low then you need to figure out how to streamline the way the business is run. This involves a bit of trial and error as well. Thankfully, all of these corrections can be done. However, it would be very difficult to achieve these goals in three weeks timeframe.

Establish Goals
This is why it is best to establish goals for an online money making venture on a quarterly basis. The work that you plan to do, how you want to do it, and the amount of income you expect to earn should be drawn into a 90 day plan. Then, at the end of the 90 days you look where you succeeded and where you faltered and make the appropriate changes. If you do this perpetually and seek to build on the gains of the previous quarter then you will find your online money making ventures yielding increased success. Again, it is much better to work through such a venture carefully and deliberately as opposed to rushing into anything. It just makes more sense to take things slowly and build over time.

Until next time, great success in all you do!

Eliminating Your Visitors Back Button

Monday, August 11th, 2008

Eliminate The Back Button
Almost anybody that teaches Internet marketing to other people is going to be able to help you to pull traffic into your webpage.  This is something that can be done in hundreds of different ways and there are some very specific methods that will send you a flood of traffic in a relatively short period of time.  Unfortunately, many of the people that end up on your webpage are simply going to click away to something else or exit by using their back button.  If you are getting a lot of traffic to your website but are unhappy with the results of your business overall, you may need to eliminate the back button before they have the opportunity to use it.

Never Try And Manipulate
This can actually be done in several different ways.  First of all, you should never try to manipulate somebody else’s browser to actually remove a part of it.  This will more than likely send them flying away from your website by whatever means they can use.  What I am talking about is using everything in your power to keep them on your webpage long enough to either make a sale or make a lead.

Improve Your Headline Continually
The first thing that you should make sure about your webpage is that it has a headline that sucks people into the rest of your website.  The headline is going to be the first thing that they see and you should be testing this on a regular basis to make it as effective as possible.  Never be happy with this part of your website, improving it on a continuous basis is necessary for you to continue improving your business.

Too Many Choices Confuse Visitors
You should also make sure that you do not leave them too many ways to exit your webpage.  If you want to take them in one particular direction, only offer them the ability to go in that direction.  Often, giving people too many choices is simply going to make them back out of the webpage out of panic.  Remember, focus your webpage from the beginning to the end and make sure it flows so that they go wherever you want them to go.

Always Collect e-Mail Addresses
One final thing that you should be doing is to collect e-mail addresses by using a squeeze page or a free offer.  List building is one of the important criteria to a successful internet business.  If you are able to do this successfully, you will be able to invite the person back to your webpage, even if they’ve backed out using their back button.  This is one of the most effective ways for you to increase your bottom line, even without increasing your visitor numbers.

Like what you’ve read so far?  Then we encourage you to subscribe to our RSS feed.  The feed shows my latest Internet Business posts in full and can easily be viewed in your favorite news reader.
