Making Money Online - Forums Go a Long Way in Educating

Friday, May 30th, 2008

Remember the old pen pal sections in the pro wrestling magazines of the 1970’s? I didn’t think so. Anyway, these ads for pen pals were the old, archaic way like-minded people could exchange information. Today, there is no need for the very slow method of exchanging snail mail letters with one another. Instead, people can connect with and communicate with each other on message boards. Regardless of your personal interests, there is a message board out there that fits your needs. Now, if you are someone looking for a way to earn money online then many of these message boards could prove very helpful.

In a way, message boards that seek to inform people become a sort of learning laboratories were ideas, opinions and experiences are shared. Often, the discussion on message boards is quite informative. Yes, there are some boards that do not prescribe to common rules of decorum but they are usually not popular and not long lasting. When you do find a solid message board then you will find a ton of helpful information at your disposal. For those new to the realm of Internet businesses, this extra help has numerous rewards.

The top-notch boards dealing with online businesses are usually well run, properly monitored and home to many knowledgeable people. If you are new to making money online these individuals can prove quite helpful. You can “lurk” and read as much information as you please or you can post questions on areas you may be confused. All sorts of topics are covered on these boards including affiliate marketing, search engine optimization, pay per click marketing, direct selling and pretty much anything else under the sun.

If you need clarification or someone to help you along your way, these types of message boards and forums are invaluable. Find a few good ones and take advantage of them. After all, that’s what they are there for!

Have a great weekend, see you back here Monday.

Now, a Friendly Word about Supplemental Internet Business Income

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

When you look at all the advertisements for work at home Internet business opportunities most people see avenues claiming to allow you to “leave the rat race at work” or “become independently wealthy!” Granted, some of these claims are NOT hyperbole. Many people have developed Internet businesses that allowed them to become self-employed. Some of these individuals have also become quite wealthy as a result. But, these grand claims sometimes make people not recognize the glorious benefits of earning a supplemental income.

A supplemental income is essentially a way of earning a few extra dollars on top of a regular salary. This could be anything from $100 a month to a $1000 a month. It all depends on what type of work you are performing, how much of it you are doing and what you are charging. Now, some may look at an extra $100 a month as an underperforming business venture. After all, what is $100 a month? Well, if your minimum credit card payment is $100 a month that extra income could keep your credit rating in the clear. Or, an extra hundred dollars a month put towards an IRA means a $1,200 tax deduction as well as interest earning retirement savings. You see, no little amount of income earned is a failure unless the costs exceed that you are earning. If you are making a profit then rejoice! Unless the time commitment is unreasonable, there is no such thing as earning too little a profit.

So, do not get fixated on pie in the sky ideas of grandeur to the point where you do not rejoice in the small gains that have been earned. If you only have limited hours to work on an Internet business but it is yielding a few extra dollars a month….pat yourself on the back. You are a success story.

Until next time, great success in all you do!

7 Timeless Surefire Techniques For Traffic Generation

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

Depending on the visits the websites receive, that is the traffic generation, they either survive or not. The more visitors a web site will have, the more likely is to survive and the business to grow even more. This is the very reason that drives internet marketers to constantly find new ways to get the attention of their targeted audience.

Traffic generation remains the only source that can help you make money from your online business. The more traffic you get, the higher the chances of increase in the volume of your business. For this, internet marketers wisely prepare ahead their campaign, and the main goal is to be search engine favorite.

Here are some winning methods to boost your website traffic generation:

Invest in good advertising with the popular search engines.

Google and Yahoo usually draw huge number of traffic, as they are the top search engines all over the internet, and they also some offer interesting schemes for advertising.

Trade links with other websites and shops online.

Link trades or link exchanges are when two websites agree to feature hyperlinks to each other’s websites on their respective websites. These links can usually be found in a list, or sometimes on a separate page on the website. Link exchanges can benefit both parties and they are free, as they only require an agreement.

Market virally

Viral marketing is a sort of undercover advertising, in which videos, games, articles and so on are spread on the Internet through blogs or sites, having the company’s name attached to them. This way of advertising is cheap, but it depends on how creative and attractive you can be.

Use the most appropriate keywords and keyword phrases for your website.

Since search engines are the essential tools for anyone using the Internet, they should be made easily accessible by their businesses. This process is called search engine optimization.

Write articles to spread awareness and boost interest in your site.

You can write articles related to the industry you are in, and it can be put up on the company’s website, or submitted to other such sites. You can submit your articles either manually, or my favorite is using a top notch article submission software such as Article Pro Software.

Get involved in online forum discussions and create your own online communities.

Another way to advertise your site is to participate in forums, so that more people find out about your top quality services. The community you start creating on the forum, will ensure new market, and also attract new customers.

Make newsletters available.

All the same, newsletter is another means of traffic generation to increase the interest in your business. Make sure the information you provide has quality content, so that people will subscribe to your newsletter.

The success of all online businesses depends on the traffic generation you create for your website. Internet businesses can indeed be more than profitable, as long as you keep on tapping the endless resource that is the World Wide Web.

Until next time, great success in all you do!

Consistent Article Writing Tips For Your Internet Business

Wednesday, May 21st, 2008

Article writing remains a proven method of driving traffic to an internet business. As we previously mentioned, quality of the writing is important but also is consistency. Actually, consistency remains a major facet of any successful venture. There really is little success to be found in the notion that any advertising venture (Yes, article writing is a variant of advertising) will deliver a huge influx of visitors overnight. Instead, an article writing advertising campaign needs time to work and that means dedication will be required. But, if you are willing to dedicate this requisite amount of time then traffic stats will surely go up.

While it would be nice if writing two or three articles and submitting them to article directories would lead to a massive amount of traffic, the fact remains that this is just not very likely. But, if you can write 1 – 3 articles a day and submit them to the top 10 article directories vs the top 500 for a one month period, the boost in stats at the end of the month will be significant. Best of all, these articles stay published in the article directories “forever” That means your articles (and links) will become part of the vast search engine landscape as well. This means more and more people will have the ability to discover them and, in turn, these people will discover your internet business. Obviously, having 30 – 90 articles floating around Google, Yahoo and MSN certainly will not hurt.

These articles do not even have to be very long or comprehensive. Granted, too short is not helpful at all but if you have articles in the range of 300 – 400 words then you are ok. By cutting the word count you can “crank out” more articles in a shorter period of time. Plus, having two 300 word articles would be a little more helpful than having one 600 word article.

My basic game plan, that has worked well for me, is manually submititng 5 to 10 articles a week to the top 10 article directories.  Following those, I use Article Pro Software to submit to the thousands of internal publishers and then submit to both versions of the external Ezine Publisher List for 1050 additional submissions.

Some may wonder how they can go about doing this is they lack writing skills or the time necessary to write so many articles. Well, if that is your concern then it may be best to hire a freelance writer through any one of the multitude of freelance writing services on the net. Yes, there will be costs involved but these costs more than pay for themselves in the form of increased sales thanks to increased traffic.

Article Writing Tips For Internet Business Traffic

Monday, May 19th, 2008

There are a number of ways to drive traffic to an internet business website. One of the most effective ways to do this is through article writing. Or, more accurately, consistent quality article writing over an extended period of time. Unfortunately, many who attempt to drive traffic to their websites via article writing falter. So, let’s examine the proper way to go about using article directories to drive traffic.

Quality is always important but many ignore this basic fact. Now, most will assume that a poor quality article is best avoided and this would be an accurate assessment. However, not submitting a poorly written article is basic common sense. We all know to avoid doing that! Most articles, however, are not so much guilty of bad grammar and sentence structure as much as they are guilty of writing boring articles! For example, if you want to drive traffic to a site that sells hot tubs writing an article on how much fun it is to own a hot tub really isn’t going to attract attention. The subject matter is trite and can’t avoid being anything other than dullsville.

Instead, think about articles along the lines of “The Cost Effectiveness of Hot Tubs” or “The Environmental Friendliness of Hot Tubs.” Such articles would be far more likely to attract attention since they are interesting topics that cover their subject matter from a completely new and unique angle. This will catch people’s eye, lead them to reading the articles and then hopefully following the link to the site.

When you write an article with unique and interesting subject matter it will attract attention. So, stick with subjects that are unique, interesting and look at subjects from different angles. This will make you article writing ventures significantly more successful…guaranteed!

If you looking for a great tool that has an 1875% effectiveness using article submissions then be sure and check out Article Pro Software if you haven’t already.  You can also read this success story on how Article Pro Software helped this individual and how it can improve your Internet Business too.

Until next time, great success in all you do!

Internet Business Web Malls and Affiliate Marketing

Friday, May 16th, 2008

Hi All,

I hope you had a great week, and were successful in some of your Internet Business ventures.  As always, please feel free to leave a comment to help the community of readers.  I have a good top 10 ranking for “Internet Business Blog” so any positive comments with your link back will be an advantage to your site.

Let’s get started with today’s post!

If you were to ask someone what type of business Walgreens is involved in what would the common answer be? It would not be surprising that most people would answer with something along the lines of pharmaceuticals. Well, this would not be inaccurate as Walgreens does have a pharmacy. It also sells a host of over the counter items as well. But, this is far from a complete description of what Walgreens sells. In fact, Walgreens sells stationary, toys, gadgets, alcohol and spirits and even computer equipment. This is because the multitude of people who walk into Walgreens need more things that just medicine. Walgreens knows this and that is why they offer so much. They cash in on the traffic their pharmacy draws in. As a result, the store becomes a form of one stop shopping. This is a successful formula and there is no reason why this formula should not succeed in the realm of Internet business.

This is why the concept of an online mall has the potential to be a very successful Internet business venture. An online mall is essentially a collective of various items sold via affiliate marketing and it can provide solid one stop shopping as well. Instead of having a single website selling one product or one affiliate, the mall offers a variety of affiliate “stores” selling a multitude of seemingly disconnected items. Some may not look at such malls as being wise due to the diverse variety of products. Such a notion makes little sense because if variety was not a merit then none of brick and mortar malls or retail shops such as Walgreens would succeed.

At one time, online malls were considered a novelty. Now, they are rapidly becoming popular. Best of all, this popularity has led to many webhosting companies provided very low cost web mall templates. So, anyone who wishes to become involved in this type of online venture can do say rather easily as opposed to a few years ago where the process of building an online mall was more laborious.

The opportunities available to those looking to get involved with affiliate marketing are growing and the concept of the online mall is becoming one of the very best modules. So why not get involved with the concept? There is a lot of income to be derived from it!

Until next time, great success in all you do!  Have a great weekend.

-Craig

Stick With Paid Blog Hosting Services

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

There are certain moves that are wise business decisions and then there are moves that can be problematic. Now, problematic does not mean that the idea is a bad idea; it just means that there are certain potential hazards that may undermine you blog’s monetary ventures. Of course, these are hazards that must absolutely be avoided!

Yes, there are some purists out there who don’t like the concept of blogging for money but to possess such an attitude lacks a fundamental understanding of publishing. (Blogging is really electronic publishing) Newspapers have advertisements, magazines have advertisements and even newsletters have advertisements. This is because without a steady stream of revenue a publishing venture will be forced to limit its size, scope and frequency. This is why it is important not to place your blog in a situation where its revenues streams may be negatively impacted. Probably the best way to avoid this would be to stay away from all free blogging sites.

This may seem like a heresy to some, but the fact remains there is significantly more flexibility on the part of paid blogging sites than any free service. Consider Myspace as an example. For many, Myspace became an excellent site for blogging since it came built in with an audience of millions of members. But, Myspace is an awful, awful site for blogging for money. This is because the rules are extremely restrictive. For example, affiliate marketing – a hallmark of online revenue generation – is barred on Myspace. Also banned is any type of pay per click advertisement ventures. Ok, scratch that. There are PPC advertisements but they are owned exclusively by Myspace and you do not share in the revenues. Worst of all, there is “regulation” of any links placed on the Myspace blogs so it is difficult to use a Myspace blog to promote an internet business. In fact, Mysoace often looks at such links as spam and nullifies the ability to follow the link.

Now, this is not stated to cast Myspace as a villain. Myspace owns its blogs and can do with them what they wish. Therein lies the problem – the blog does not belong to the blogger and that means the blogger is bound to the host’s terms and conditions. So, to avoid such a problem it would be best to form your blog via a paid blog hosting site. When you use a paid blogging service you will be granted far more flexibility. Best of all, with this flexibility there comes more opportunity to make money. As such, sticking with a paid blogging site is an absolute must for those looking to make money blogging.

Obviously, that is a huge endorsement for using a paid blog hosting service. They are critical for anyone seriously looking at a career in blogging.

Small Steps For A Lot Of Traffic Generation!

Monday, May 12th, 2008

Does anyone remember the classic film NETWORK? There was a brilliant scene where a newscaster opened a window and screamed “I am mad as hell and I am not going to take it any more?” If not, you should as that film to your Netflix queue as it was one of the best films of the 1970’s.

The reason I mentioned the famous scene from that film up is because when people ask how they can boost their online earning I want to open a window and scream “through traffic generation!” After all, the more traffic you have the greater the potential income you can earn; the less traffic the lesser your chances are to boost your income. This is something most people clearly understand. But, the primary means in which one can boost traffic can escapes most people. So, let’s look at some of the common ways to boost traffic that performed consistently and relatively easily.

I want to repeat: these are methods that can be performed consistently and easily. In fact, some of the methods for boosting traffic are far easier than many would initially assume.

A reliable means of promoting your products or services would be to create a blog designed to promote your website. (You do have a blog in place that promotes your business, don’t you?) The entries of the blog should center on news and information related to your business. It is also important to include links to your site so as to drive important traffic its way. Of course, if you do not have your own blog then you could always “appropriate” the blog of another person. That is, you could always leave comments on a blog and include a link in the comment. Also, placing links within signatures on forum message boards is another quick and easy way to generate traffic to an internet business. (Plus some of these forums and message boards are fun to participate in even if you aren’t leaving links) Keep in mind however it would be self defeating to “spam” a blog or forum with links so stay within the realm of acceptable behavior. If you do this you will notice your traffic generation improving quite significantly.

Until next time, great success in all you do!

Seasonal Affiliate Marketing

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

Mother’s Day is just around the corner. That means many sons and daughters will purchase cards for mom and grandma and send them as a token of their affection. Many of these cards are uniquely crafted and have the potential to bring a smile to the face of the recipient. In addition to the joy it brings moms and grandmas it also brings joy to the various retail stores across the fruited plain as well. This is because no matter what a store may primarily sell, the addition of Mother’s Day related cards, toys, stuffed animals and candy to the shelves will provide a major cash windfall. Yes, holiday shopping has its benefits and that is why stores will add holiday themed items to the shelves all year around and cover pretty much every holiday season. If you are using affiliate marketing as a plan to boost income to your site you would be WELL ADVISED to follow the lead of the brick and mortar stores as well.

Adding affiliate marketing ads to your website is a solid way of earning income. If the affiliate banners tie in to the theme of your site you can potentially earn significant income from conversions. While it is clearly a good idea to tie in your affiliate marketing to the theme of your website, it would also be a very wise idea to add holiday themed affiliate marketing banners to your site as well. That is, affiliate marketing banners for Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day could lead to significant boosts in income when those holidays role around. Now, this does not mean that you should eliminate your traditional affiliate marketing banners. Instead, include holiday themed products during as well as they can yield HUGE revenues on a heavily trafficked site. Hey, the retail stores have been successful doing this for decades. Why would internet affiliate marketing sites not win out with this strategy as well?

We encourage you to subscribe to our RSS feed.  The feed shows my latest Internet Business posts in full and can easily be viewed in your favorite news reader.

To Your Success!

Many Blessings,

-Craig
