How Do You Know You Are A Super Affiliate?

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope that this post will improve your online business. Also, check out my new 22 page FREE report entitled “10 Top blogging Questions People Are Still Looking For The Real Answer To” and can be received by subscribing to my blog in the form on the right.

Today I want to have a little fun. I know a lot of us have dreams and probably have nightmares too, of being a Super Affiliate. A Super Affiliate is a person that accounts for a majority of an affiliate programs sales. He is the guy that can sell ice to an Eskimo in the dead of winter, he is the guy that we all want to be.

So the question I ask today is, “How do you know when you are a Super Affiliate?” Well, I can only imagine what it would be like, but I visited some Super Affiliates websites to get a clue as how you might know when you have reached that level. Here is what I found.

  1. You can post a copy of your affiliate programs check and not be ashamed.
  2. Posting how you made $30,000 last month and not worry about someone stealing your secret.
  3. Your FeedBurner counter has five digits!
  4. You have to hire a Personal Assistant to help you with e-mail, comments and little stuff like that.
  5. Your personal training school classes are booked for the rest of the year.
  6. You post a copy of next months affiliate check and it has doubled!
  7. Half of your blogs posts are about attending this and that affiliate convention and everyone knew YOU!
  8. You get tons of gear from your affiliate program managers every week.

Well I hope you enjoyed that and I hope I didn’t offend any Super Affiliates as it is all in fun and most of all I can’t wait to accomplish what they have. It is also a tribute to them also, as most of these Super Affiliates could be quiet as a mouse and not tell a soul about their how they earned their well deserved fortune.

The Entrecard Widget For Internet Business

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

So what makes Entrecard such a valuable resource in a sea of networking sites? Well, let’s examine the issue. There are a number of networking sites out there that have the added benefit of providing a way to promote your blog and increase its traffic but are there any sites out there that are designed to serve the exclusive purpose of enhancing blog traffic? Actually, there are a few and one of the best is Entrecard. The entire purpose of Entrecard is to utilize advertising widgets to aid in the marketing of blogs.

For those not entirely familiar with what Entrecard actually entails it is essentially a free advertising network where members help one another with promoting each others blog. The way the system works is quite easy. Basically, members of Entrecard can place their widget ad on any other blog in the network for a certain specified number of days at no cost. (The ad, of course, will then drive targeted traffic to your specific blog) The number of days one’s ad remains up is based upon the number of Entrecard credits one earns by being an active participant in the service’s networking schematic.  If you would like to see how it looks, go look over there on the right side of my blog above “Internet Business Products” in the sidebar and you’ll see the widget ad.

Entrecard is easy to join as all you need to do is visit www.entrecard.com and become a member. (Membership is, of course, totally free) Soon after, you will receive your own personal widget code which you can paste on your blog and other blogs. There are also options available for you to customize your widget which will make it a more attractive item for tempting people to click on the widget ad. In doing this, you will get the ball rolling for increasing and improving your traffic immensely.

If you truly wish to increase your blog exposure and boost its traffic you need to explore all low cost and effective options available. Entrecard clearly fits this bill and if you have a blog and want people to know about it then signing up with Entrecard would be a step in the right direction.

So Do You Own Any Virtual Real Estate?

Monday, February 25th, 2008

Hi All,

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoy today’s topic and feel free to make a comment or ask a question, as reader participation is highly recommended.

A few weeks ago I made a post about “Alternate Ways To Make Money Online” and one of the streams of income that I listed was buying and selling domain names.

Today I wanted to expand on that subject a little more as a viable and like all types of business, risky but very rewarding online business.

In the early days, the big thing in domain buying and selling was to think up of a domain name that had appeal, originality and was short in length. At that time it was not hard to do and still maybe done today, but I don’t think with the same success as then.

So what can you do in this day and age to capitalize on the domain name market. Let’s take a look.

New Domains - Yes, this area of the buying and selling domains may be close to dead, but it can, and is, still being done. Don’t expect huge returns though.

Buy and Hold - Just like with any type of real estate, if you see some available land going cheap that you believe may be in demand in the future, nab it and hold on to it and reap the rewards later.

Rescue a Domain - This is done by looking at expired or soon to expire domains that many domain selling services have. Every once in a while you will find a domain with a high PR. When you see one of those, grab it, develop it and put on the market as a fully functional, high PR, with traffic, website and again rake in the cash.

Domain Flipping - These are not to hard to find and sometimes are the best way to get high ROI. Find a website that is for sale that has indications of being in distress. For instance you may find websites that may have pages with errors, forums not monitored lately, not functioning correctly or just abandoned. Even if it is not for sale, try and contact the owner and make an offer and you will be surprised at what answer you get.

Once you have one of these distressed websites, go in and gut it out and redo the whole thing, then resell it for a profit. That is all there is to it.

You have to remember that it may take a while to get the website up to selling speed. You want to have good traffic, some income and a good design to be able to get the most out of your investment.

I hope you have enjoyed this post and good luck in the future if you take a stab at buying and selling domains. This can be an interesting , fun and profitable addition to your online business. As always we look forward to hearing from you. So, feel free to leave a comment or ask a question.

Article Pro Software Success Story

Friday, February 22nd, 2008

Hi Everyone,

A few weeks ago I posted a 24 hour special for Article Pro Software which is an article writing and submission tool.

We usually receive emails from customers notifying us of their success using Article Pro Software, but the other day we received an email from a customer that was quite exciting to read.  We thought that we would share that with you.

Here is the email we received…

“Craig,

I just started up your software day before yesterday.  I thought I would tell  you a success story that I am having with your software.   I spent time going over each one of your videos, I would stop them and do what you were discussing at that time.  I created a total of 21 resource boxes ( I kind of cheated, I went to Ezinearticles and looked at other ones to get ideas) I created the articles like you said to and actually went through all my emails to get ideas on who I could add to my external list and this is where the biggy came in.

I got a reply yesterday afternoon from a major marketer.  He is a household name and I would prefer not mentioning his name, however he sent me a reply saying “I just sent it out to one of my partial lists containing 40K double optins.  Hope you get some traffic”

I could not believe my luck.  Obviously my clicks and my clickbank account is going through the roof and it is all due to your software program.  Thank you, Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Scott Bradley

Hoping You Have A Very Successful Day,

Scott”

Wow, quite a successful article campaign Scott had!

We emailed Scott back and told him that the software really shouldn’t receive all the credit.  The fact is that Scott took action, bought the software, watched the videos, and submitted an article.  He got off his rear end and did something positive.

Yes, it is a very powerful software and you can obtain 1875% effectiveness with your article submissions, but you still have to write the articles yourself and hit the submit button.  You need to start.  You need to circulate to percolate!

Article Pro Software is just a piece of software, that’s it.  It is a good one though.  You still need to have a product, write good articles and good ad copy.  The software doesn’t write the articles, you do, and if you don’t have a good product in demand or you can’t write a good article or good ad copy, then your probably not going to get too many interested parties clicking through to your squeeze page or sales page.

Yes, Article Pro Software is unique in the fact that it can generate hundreds of unique article versions based on your original article.

Yes, Article Pro Software overcomes duplicate content filters and produces more and deeper backlinks throughout the Internet.

Yes, it has a built-in list of thousands of publishers and you can add as many of your own publishers too!

Yes, it can save you tons of time writing hundreds of different article versions, but you need to be one of the 2% that make something happen.

That is what Scott did, and look at him now.  Smiling all the way to the bank.  Clickbank that is :)

Good for you Scott, and thanks for your email!

Do You Linkbait With Your Blog?

Wednesday, February 20th, 2008

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope that this post will improve your online business. Also, check out my new 22 page FREE report entitled “10 Top blogging Questions People Are Still Looking For The Real Answer To” and can be received by subscribing to my blog in the form on the right.

So, do you linkbait? I bet you do and you don’t even know it. If you don’t know, linkbaiting is a general term that is used to describe ways that you use to generate links back to your blog. In a way it is like trying to get a backlink in reverse.

For instance, you decide to run a contest on your blog about giving away one million dollars and you make a post about it. As other people read this post they are going to write about it on their blog. When they post and link back to your contest piece, then you have just completed a successful linkbait. Then all of the readers of these blogs will send new(hopefully) readers to you. It gives you a great boost in traffic.

While most linkbait techniques are good natured and acceptable, some have developed ways that are just downright nasty. Let’s say Blogger A makes a post about Blogger B that he wears pink underwear :o Then Blogger B touts back with his post that Blogger A(link) is crazy because he is allergic to pink :)  When this happens Blogger A has just completed a linkbait, although he was not very nice to Blogger B to achieve this :(

I believe that linkbait is a very viable way to get traffic to your site, if it is used responsibly. Darren Rowse over at ProBlogger.net has a nice list of linkbait techniques that you should checkout and try too.

I hope this post was of help to you and your Internet business and as always feel free to leave a comment or ask a question, your input is greatly appreciated.

Make Your Internet Business Twitter

Monday, February 18th, 2008

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope that this post will improve your online business. Also, check out my new 22 page FREE report entitled “10 Top blogging Questions People Are Still Looking For The Real Answer To” and can be received by subscribing to my blog in the form on the right.

I am always amazed at the new tools that keep coming out that can be used for your blog or website. I am not only amazed at how they help you build your business, but also how they keep coming up with these great ideas to invent these tools.

One of the best new tools out there happens to be a website called Twitter. Twitter is a neat tool that was originally made to be a free social networking service and now has evolved into a handy business tool also.

Mini-blogging is a very accurate description of its usage. Basically what you do is input a message into Twitter’s system, not to exceed 140 characters and less any code or html. It will take URLs and automatically convert them into tiny urls when the message is displayed.

You can send or receive “Tweets” via your browser, email, instant messaging clients and SMS, you are always in touch. A practical example would be to send a message out that you have a new blog post available and all of your followers would instantly know it.

Like most social network sites, Twitter does require some etiquette like not using it for instant messaging someone or to use it too much as this may turn some of your followers away.

So visit Twitter today and see what it is all about. I hope this post was of help to you and your Internet business and as always feel free to leave a comment or ask a question, your input is greatly appreciated.

Lean, Mean, Internet Machine!

Friday, February 15th, 2008

Hi All,

Happy Friday to you.

We all want to have very successful Internet businesses, at least I think we do :)  In order to be the very best at what we do, I strongly believe we need to be top performers with our daily habits and implement methods or strategies that will make us operate better and feel better about ourselves.

By taking care of our personal habits, we can then use this personal optimization in our business to make it even more successful.

I have put together a list of some daily habits and ideas that you can apply to become a lean, mean, Internet machine!

Give a few of these a try for 30 days and see if it makes a difference in your productivity and self-worth.  30 day trials are much easier to establish and seem to work best for daily habits.

Here are some 30 day trial ideas:

  • Read for 30 minutes to an hour every day on a topic that interests you.
  • Go to bed at a reasonable hour (10 or 11 p.m.) and set a time to rise early (5 a.m.) to be more productive.
  • Meet somebody new every day by starting a conversation with a stranger.
  • Write in a journal every day.
  • Write a new blog entry every day (I need this one).
  • Meditate every day.
  • Pray every day.
  • Learn a new word every day.
  • Call a different friend or relative every day.
  • Clean up and organize your office or home every day.
  • Give up surfing the net if you feel your becoming a surf junkie.
  • Give up visiting forums if you feel your addicted to visiting forums.
  • Give up Television (major time waster) or tape your favorite shows and watch them after the 30 day trial to see what an impact it had on your time and productivity.
  • Take a walk every morning or evening.
  • Do something fun every evening or get out and go somewhere different every evening.
  • Solicit new business by contacting someone different each and every day.
  • Give up unhealthy addictions e.g. cigarettes, coffee, junk food, or soda.

This should be a good list of ideas to choose from.  Give some of them a try for 30 days and just think of the benefits you will gain from those 30 days.  Beyond 30 days you will probably loose interest.  If you can commit to 30 days you will be able to stick with it and convince yourself that it is a manageable goal.  This is a simple approach that provides a lot of power.  By committing every day for 30 days to do something, you can’t justify missing a day or promise yourself to make it up later.

What is Blogging to You?

Wednesday, February 13th, 2008

We all know what a blog is. It is a web log, a electronic form of a diary, at least that is how they started out. But how you look at blogs and how you use them can have several different meanings.

Let’s start at the beginning. Blogs were originally just diaries, either for personal or business use until someone found out that their popular blog about their dog Skip was making them some money.

Blogs then evolved into every niche available and monetization of these blogs became a separate income stream and job by itself. Now blogs are even able to look better than some website with all of the widgets and themes now available to use for them.

Ok, so what is blogging to you? Not sure? Just step back and look at your blogs and this should be easy to answer and they will probably fit into one of these categories below.

Family or Personal - These types of blogs are used to communicate between family and friends that may live long distances apart. There is usually no routine, like SEO, to the posts and the frequency is inconsistent.

Business - These blogs are the ones that most resemble what the original blogs where designed like. They are usually not flashy, posts are straight forward news items and are usually in chronological order. These blogs give a good sense of history of the company if they are used correctly.

Media - A blog that strictly is used to report news, either by one or more reporters and can be monetized or not. The posts can be written, in audio and in video. Video blogs or Vlogs are gaining in popularity as technology makes it easier to posts videos.

Monetized - These blogs posts are usually keyword optimized to make their popularity in search engines high. Then they use this popularity to sell something, like an e-book or an affiliate’s product. Posts are put up at least daily if not more frequent to keep content fresh and readers coming back. This is the most common of all the blogs.

Network - A network is multiple blogs that are run by the same person or by a company and can include all of the above types of blogs, even mixtures of each. A network usually pays it bloggers for their work and in return cashes in on the monetization of the blogs.

Now that you know what type of blog you have, take the time to learn how to make that type of blog better. If you have a business blog, look at other business blogs and see how you compare to them and see what you want your blog to be like. Then make it happen.

Remember, a blog is a tool that anyone can use to sell something, spread news, show videos of their band and on and on and on. It is up to you how you set up that blog and how it is used.

Alternate Ways to Make Money Online

Monday, February 11th, 2008

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoy today’s topic and feel free to make a comment or ask a question, as reader participation is highly recommended.

While we have mainly concentrated on how to make money online using your blog and Internet marketing, there are other concrete, stable ways to make money online. I would like to hit on a few of those today.

Robert  G. Allen made “multiple streams of income” famous, and these alternate ways to make money online will help you achieve multiple streams and bringing you a continuous flow of money.
Stream #1: eBay - The ultimate in making money on the Internet. eBay has been around for a long time and many a person is making a living off of eBay. If you can put up with the fees and rules of eBay then you can do well there.

Stream #2 : Information products - Information products, like e-books, special reports, CD’s and DVD’s, are fairly easy to do yourself and that means that all of the profits go to YOU! The big thing is to be an expert or become one and write about so that it may help other people solve a problem.

Stream #3: Freelance Work - Do you like to write or build websites? Then why not go to websites like Elance that co-ordinates freelancers with people who need their services. The competition is stiff at times but good work will reward you with a lot of contracts.

Stream #4: Affiliate Selling - Selling affiliate products is probably the easiest thing to do on the Internet. With the use of e-mails and forums, you really don’t need a website to do this. A big plus is that almost every company has a affiliate program, so you are sure to find something in your niche to sell.

Stream #5:  Buy and Sell Domain Names - This is the first income stream I ventured into many years ago. It is also my favorite. Not only can you buy and sell domain names, but kick it up a notch and buy old underused websites, fix them up and flip them for a profit. Both of these can turn you a profit in a very short time, if done right. Check out places like Sitepoint Marketplace and get a sense of what is happening in this area of Internet business.

This is only a few of many things you can do make money online, just look around and you can find tons more.
