PREPARING FOR SUCCESS - THE ESSENTIAL INTERNET MARKETING ELEMENTS
Friday, January 12th, 2007Owning and running your own online business can either be an ultimate dream come true providing you freedom or it can be your worst nightmare.Over the past several years I am constantly asked “what do you think works online?” or “What do you think I should do online?” People don’t want to be battered with all the fluff they read. They want to know the real deal, and what works in today’s Internet marketing world.This is why I so strongly make it a point to deliver to you what I know works, what I learn, what is a success or a failure in my businesses, and solid proven tactics and strategies. My business motto has always been “Real Internet Marketing”. That’s what I teach. That’s what I believe and practice my very self.In preparing for online success, I want to introduce to you some basic tools that will aid you in making money online. I call these “THE ESSENTIAL INTERNET MARKETING ELEMENTS”. Over this next year I will go into more detail about each one on individual posts, but for today I will briefly touch on each. >>> PRODUCTS - You must have your own product or products to reap the benefits. You need to stop making money for others through affiliate programs, and get your own product. I show you how to do this at: http://www.onlineinfopreneurcreation.com/. >>> WEB HOSTING - Don’t use free hosting. Free hosting is not as good as paid. Paid hosting provides valuable resources. I believe in use a hosting company that can offer all the bells and whistles, which will benefit my websites. One of the best hosting companies I can recommend is US Web Design and Hosting. They have excellent products and support with all the bells and whistles to make your Website shine at unbelievably reasonable prices. You can find them on my sidebar to the right.
>>> WEB DESIGN - No matter what you have heard from any of the hosting companies trying to persuade you into a $200 or more Website. You don’t need a fancy Website. Novice marketers that think they need a fancy Website to make a sale waste a lot of money. The fact is many sites that are ugly are also the most profitable. Keep it simple, but nice to start. You can always upgrade later. I have made plenty of money with just basic sites. Your product and copywriting is what is important.
>>> WEB OPTIMIZATION - Optimizing your Websites and Sales Letters are one of the most important tasks you need to accomplish in order to rank well in the search engines. Ranking well in the search engines, especially the big three will bring free traffic to your site. IBP-Inter Business Promoter is an absolutely excellent Website promotional tool. You can find more information about them on my sidebar to the right. I have some other secret ways to optimize sites and sales letters to get top ranking, and I just might let them out of the bag sometime later this year. Keep your eyes open for them.
>>> MERCHANT ACCOUNTS - If your going to sell products or information you must be easy to conduct business with. Setting up a merchant account is essential. There are some good ones and then there are some that should be used in different marketing situations.
>>> ADVERTISING - You must advertise. Article writing and submission is one of the top three strategies leading Internet marketers use to promote their Websites, products, or service. I teach you on this blog about article submissions, and ezine advertising. They are in my opinion, the two greatest ways to drive traffic. Article Pro Software is an awesome article submission tool that provides all your needs to be successful with article submissions. You can find it at: http://www.articleprosoftware.com/. Article writing is a course in itself. There are definite tips, tricks, and strategies that very few know about. I am going to open up the floodgates on Article Writing Strategies in a future SPECIAL!
>>> TRAFFIC - You need traffic or your never going to sell a thing. There are various forms of traffic generation. The two common sources are paid and free traffic. Article writing and Ezine advertising are the top two forms that produce huge results. There are also a select few of paid traffic sources I use. Beware; paid traffic can be a bust. I will talk more about this in future posts.
>>> COPYWRITING - This is an area that has generated tremendous profits for me. You need to know how to write winning copy. It is a major area that has made a major difference in my bottom line. Nothing happens until you sell something! You need to get your customers to take action from day one. Copywriting is huge part of marketing, and you need work on mastering. This is definitely another course in itself. This is such an important topic. I plan on spending more time on copywriting in future posts, and possibly create a special report on it.
>>> FOLLOW UP AUTORESPONDERS - Follow up systems is a must. It has been said many times that people need to see your material seven times before they buy. You need to create an automated system that works. This is how you can get customers to spend more money, and capture profits from customers who don’t buy the first time.
>>> HAVING YOUR OWN AFFILIATES - You need to quit being an affiliate if you are one, and start recruiting affiliates for your own product(s). Just imagine having two or three thousand people selling your product(s), and you don’t have to pay them until they sell something (dang that gets me excited!). I’ll show you how it can work for you in the coming year.
These are some of the basic essential elements needed to be successful. There are probably a few others I didn’t mention, but as the year rolls on I will continue to post on what is important to your success.
