Five Simple Steps For Online Success - Step Four
Starting An Email Autoresponder Program

This is the best way to start developing your customer base. If you haven’t heard this before, Your profits are in your lists! You need to have a steady customer base to sell your information, products or upgrades to. This is critical for your online success. Potential Prospects need to hear from you several times before they buy to assure them confidence in you. Your auto-responder email program, newsletter or blog will keep information in front of them, week after week, before they are even ready to make a purchase. Almost your entire business can be automated using autoresponders.

Another important benefit from using autoresponders is that as soon as you automate your business, your valuable time is freed up where you can spend more wisely searching for additional streams of income, product development, article marketing, or even spend some time with a loved one.

How does an autoresponder work?

An autoresponder is a software program offered by specialized companies to handle an automatic response. The basic types are either a sign up form or an email response. You can also program them to send messages, newsletters, new product releases, or special sales to your email list on a regular basis, or you can send a series of messages, one after the other, at predetermined times.

The most important use of an autoresponder is to develop your infamous email list. By setting up an opt-in page on your website, visitors can type in some information and be added to your autoresponder email list. You can then use that list to perform many of the functions listed above.

Another great sequence feature is after a completed sale of a product. Following a completed sale you can deliver a “thank you” message for the purchase. Then it can be sequenced to have your digital product or ebook delivered via autoresponder. All the while you are watching an afternoon of Sunday football or maybe even taking a Sunday nap. Now that’s my kinda work.

Autorersponder Set Up

Probably the best and most recognized autoresponder program is Aweber Communications. Their information can be found on my Blog sidebar under “Recommended Products”. Aweber has all the tutorial videos, blog posts, email instruction, live support, and 24/7 help to get you up and running fast. They are the cadillac of the autoresponder industry and you can see why so many people use them for their service.

Autoresponder pricing

For the amount of work autoresponders do, the charges are very inexpensive. They are based usually on a monthly fee, but you can also pay for a monthly, quarterly, or yearly service. Pricing is determined by the amount of leads you have in your autoresponder. If my memory serves me right, I believe the Aweber intro level can store up to 10,000 leads.

I would suggest staying away from free autoresponder service. Free services may not be able to handle the size of your list as well as the many benefits and features of a paid service. That pretty much goes for anything free. There is always a catch and free usually means reduced features and benefits.

In summary, running a successful and profitable Internet business is really that simple. It’s just a matter of having your own information Website or product, getting listed in the three major search engines, run some PPC ads, start building a customer list, and start submitting real articles to real publishers.

Remeber, your profits are in your lists. Start building that customer list today! It is your golden marketing tool.

The next and last post to this series “Five Simple Steps For Online Success” will cover the #1 method to drive traffic to your site.

Five Simple Steps To Online Success - Step Three
Succeed With PPC (pay-per-click) Ads

Running a pay per click campaign can quickly cost a lot of money if you don’t know how to do it correctly. Many webmasters face the following situation:

They set up a pay per click campaign.
They get many visitors and pay lots of money.
They don’t get a single sale.
Of course, that’s not how it should work. If you create a pay per click campaign without planning it, changes are that you’ll quickly lose a considerable amount of money.

There are a few basic things you should consider before starting a pay per click campaign.

1. Choose The Right Pay Per Click Search Engines

There are hundreds of pay per click search engines. Only a few of them are worth your time and money. Concentrate your efforts on the big pay per click search engines. Google Adwords is probably the biggest and best to be included in.

The smaller pay per click search engines don’t get many visitors and chances are that their anti-click-fraud systems are not very sophisticated. A list of popular pay per click search engines can be found here.

2. Choose The Right Keywords

Do not bid for every keyword you can think of. You’ll pay for every single click. Only bid for keywords that attract targeted visitors that are interested in what you have to offer. Of course, the keywords you choose for your pay per click campaign should often be used by web surfers.

3. Know how much you can pay for a click

Many webmasters don’t know how much they can afford for a click. You must make sure that you get a positive return on investment. Otherwise, you’re wasting your money.

For example, if you make a profit of $30 per sale and if you need 100 clicks to generate one sale, then you can pay a maximum of 30 cents per click if you don’t want to lose money. Use this formula:
Profit per sale / clicks per sale = maximum cost per click
($30 / 100 = $0.30)

Although most web surfers prefer unpaid search engine results, pay per click search engines can be a good alternative if you quickly need targeted traffic.

Pay per click campaigns can bring you lots of sales but they are also very risky if you don’t do it right.

Many more powerful tips that help you to lower your pay per click advertising costs while increasing your profits can be found in our Google AdWords eBook.

Natural search engine results will bring targeted visitors to your web site without paying. You should use pay per click search engines only as a complement to your other search engine optimization activities.

In summary, running a successful and profitable Internet business is really that simple. It’s just a matter of having your own information Website or product, getting listed in the three major search engines, run some PPC ads, start building a customer list, and start submitting real articles to real publishers.

Five Simple Steps for Online Success - Step Two
Start Submitting To Search Engines

It is very important to have your Websites ranked highly on the search engines. Search engines will provide you a steady flow of free traffic. In order to take full of advantage of the free traffic you need to be listed high in the list of Websites searched for particular keywords.

The first steps you should have already accomplished with your Website is selecting a Domain Name, Title, and at least six valuable keywords that pertain to your Website. If you need help with this, my two hour “Online Infopreneur Creation Video Home Study Course” will help you get started with this. This is too long to go into detail for a single post so if you have a chance, please check it out at: www.onlineinfopreneurcreation.com.

The next step you need to accomplish is setting up a hosting plan and start creating your Website. There are many Website builders available out there, and I have boiled it down to a few good ones on my Online Infopreneur Course. One of the best Hosting Companies I have worked with and also provides a Website building program “add on” is U.S. Website Design And Hosting. They are listed on my sidebar under “Recommended Marketing Tools”where you can find out more information about them. They are very reasonable on their hosting packages. They have excellent support, and are a top notch company. Jesse is a great guy and a great resource to have in your business.

After you have completed the above steps you are ready to submit your Website to the search engines. One of the best programs that I use is IBP (internet business promoter). This program will not only submit to hundreds of search engines if you choose, but has all the tools you need to choose your keywords, link building, and run reports. In my opinion, it is an awesome resource. They are also listed on my sidebar under “Recommended Products” where you can find out more information about their fantastic program.

Once you have submitted your site to at least the three major search engines: Google, Yahoo, and MSN, you now need to wait until your site is crawled and indexed. This can take many weeks so be patient. Once your site has been crawled and indexed I have some excellent additional advanced strategies you can use in driving your page rank higher which I will cover in a later post. For now, I am just going to cover the five simple steps in starting a successful internet business.

In the meantime, you can now start running some PPC ads which will start sending traffic to your site. This will be step three and my next post in this series.

Lastly, search engines do change all the time with their methods. Internet Business Promoter will also keep you up to date with all this information. It does everything for you which is a tremendous benefit to you. Online Infopreneur is a great course if your new to getting started with your internet business. These programs will make sure you are doing things right from the start, and maximize your success. With all there is to offer on the web you need to get off to a fast and proper start. These strategies and lessons I use today are authentic, and positively “Real Internet Marketing”.
